Chicago Public Schools - Capital Improvement Program
d’Escoto, Inc. has provided construction management and construction supervision services to coordinate the Chicago Public Schools Capital Improvement Program. These services included project programming, schedule creation and monitoring, construction inspection, payment review, change order management and coordination with over 600 local schools to minimize disturbances to students and faculty.
Kennedy King College
d’Escoto, Inc.’s provided project management and superintendent services for the 28,000 sq-ft library and 12,000 sq-ft daycare building as well as coordinating and scheduling the site improvements and public utilities for the entire 40-acre campus. Other tasks included review and approval of all site improvement pay applications and change orders as well as processing all site improvement RFIs and submittals Preconstruction services were also provided and included the procurement of all the site improvement trades: bid review meetings, and award recommendations and value engineering.
Toman Library
d’Escoto, Inc. provided Owner’s Representative services to the Public Building Commission of Chicago. Duties included design management, schedule and cost management from preconstruction to project close-out, and site supervision. Site supervision was conducted during preconstruction when neighboring structures were demolished for the expansion can continued through the construction phase until the library was occupied. d’Escoto, Inc. provided independent cost estimates for contractor change orders and detailed contractor schedule review. Project manager submitted monthly progress reports, changed orders, RFI’s and submittals on a weekly, monthly, and as needed basis. Coordinating and scheduling of all construction activities was reviewed at weekly jobsite meetings led by d’Escoto, Inc.
