Chicago Department of Transportation - Michigan Avenue Viaduct Reconstruction
d'Escoto, Inc. provided Construction Management services for the rehabilitation of the entire viaduct from Congress to Wacker, including removal and replacement of the existing structural pavement. The project includes:
Demolition of the existing viaduct super-structure and partial sub-structure removal from Wacker Drive to Lake Street.
Demolition and reconstruction of existing bridge deck at the Wacker Drive and Michigan Avenue intersection. Roadway reconstruction from the north side of Lake Street to the south side of Randolph Street.
Lower-level roadway work includes pavement, sidewalks, stairway landing reconstruction, sewer lining, drainage, lighting, and traffic signals. Upper level roadway work, including pavement, sidewalks, stairways, sidewalk re-surfacing, drainage, lighting, traffic signals, and planters.
