Client: Chicago Housing Authority

Description

This project entailed the rehabilitation of over 300 Senior Housing units in two buildings on the city’s North side. The work included upgrades and reconstruction in high-rise architecture. These improvements were designed to provide decent, safe and sanitary housing for the lower-income community.

Services Provided

d’Escoto, Inc. provided Owner’s Representation services to the Chicago Housing Authority for their Capital Improvement Plan Program. Scope of services included providing project management, staffing, direction, monitoring, reporting and administration of all required construction phases. The field team provided leadership and coordination with change order requests, field supervision of numerous general contractors for repairs, renovations and improvements to ensure work was completed satisfactorily, on schedule and within budget. Additional duties included acting as liaison with the CHA and respective tenants, landlords and property managers.

With the large number of stakeholders involved, coordination and communication was critical in order for d’Escoto, Inc. to deliver a successful project to the CHA. We had individuals dedicated to record-keeping and document controls, so that at any time we could provide the CHA with the status of the program. d’Escoto, Inc. successfully delivered over 300+ rehabilitated units to the CHA on time and within budget.
