McCormick Place South Building Expansion Project: The major components of this project included a new 840,000-square-foot exhibition facility with 45 meeting rooms and two ballrooms with a combined 55,000 sf. The Grand Concourse pedestrian walkway, a soaring 100 feet high at its peak and 900 feet long, runs through the center of the building and, in addition to connecting the existing North and South exhibition areas, offers a business center, food court, specialty shops and other amenities for exhibitors and convention guests.
Hyatt Regency McCormick Place Hotel: This 30-story, 800–room premium hotel offers a 12,000 square foot ballroom and a 10,000 square foot restaurant and is supported by a 600-car parking structure.
McCormick Place West Expansion: This expansive addition to the McCormick Place campus, encompassing four city blocks, offers 470,000 square feet of exhibition space and 250,000 square feet of meeting space. Amenities include 61 meeting rooms, a 100,000–square-foot ballroom, a fine dining restaurant, a café, a food court, a rooftop garden and a transportation center. Up to 1,000 workers would be on site each day, requiring sophisticated project coordination and oversight.
