Description

The Safety Modernization Program consists of replacing cast and ductile iron pipes in the natural gas delivery system with modern polyethylene pipes to reinforce the long-term safety and reliability of the system. There are four main system upgrade goals for the SMP:
• Replace more than 2,000 miles of cast and ductile iron gas pipe

• Relocate gas meters from inside of customer facilities to outside
• Upgrade the gas distribution system from low pressure to medium pressure
