Description

Our team provided construction inspection and supervision services during the rehabilitation of mainline and ramp pavements, eight mainline bridges, and thirteen cross-road bridges between Sta. 4840+3 and Sta. 6013+00.  The shoulders, emergency turnarounds, and crash investigation sites were also reconstructed. The scope also included new drainage structures, culvert repairs, and underdrain installations, and ditch grading improvements, modifications to existing systems. Roadside safety improvements included the installation of guardrail, high tension cable median barrier, and median pier protection. Pavement markings, delineators and signage, lighting upgrades, Maintenance of Traffic Control operations, and all other related items were also included. Temporary lighting as well as landscape and soil erosion/sedimentation control measures were installed and throughout the project.

The bridge rehabilitation scope started with the removal and replacement of bridge decks and beams. Superstructures, including the approach and transition slabs, bearings, abutment wingwalls, and piers were rehabilitated or reconstructed as necessary. New semi-integral abutments were built while structural concrete repairs were completed for deteriorated super- and substructures, including slope walls and PCC beams. Joint seals were replaced, the bridge decks were scarified, and concrete latex overlay was placed.
