Community Involvement
A hallmark of our company’s culture is our drive to create and revitalize public spaces. We recognize our place in the social fabric, knowing that our expertise and resources can help to address economic disparities and safety concerns in the places where we live, work, and play. We collaborate with local leaders to mobilize behind initiatives to stabilize civic infrastructure, attract investment, and improve the livability and equity within neighborhoods in need. We have contributed our time and talents to improve neighborhood streetscapes through the Chicago Central Area Committee (CCAC) and renovate homes through Rebuilding Together.
Volunteer Efforts
We know that our employees have busy lives—raising families, caring for loved ones, working full-time jobs, and enjoying hobbies and recreational activities. We also know how profoundly rewarding it can be by giving back to those in need. d’Escoto, Inc. strongly encourages its staff to become personally invested in making a difference in their local schools and communities, proudly showcasing and supporting their endeavors every step of the way. Together, we have packed food for malnourished populations around the world at Feed My Starving Children and participated in fundraising events like 5K runs to end homelessness and polar plunges for Special Olympics, to name a few.
Diversity and Inclusion
Through a variety of strategies, we actively ensure that our workforce reflects the diversity of our community. d’Escoto, Inc. is proud to partner with social agencies and educational institutions to remove barriers and improve opportunities for disadvantaged individuals interested in the construction industry. d’Escoto, Inc. provides career guidance, such as shadowing sessions and internship programs and attends various job fairs to recruit the best talent. We also get involved with schools and youth-focused organizations to provide mentorship and guidance to those interested in the construction disciplines. Our corporate policies ensure that our workplaces and job sites are inclusive, supportive environments for all employees, project team members, clients, and visitors.
